What is an alibi witness?

When a person arrested after the commission of an offense indicates that he or she was at some other location when the crime was committed, an alibi witness is presented before the court to support that claim.  An alibi defense is a strong defense and it is vital to have an attorney interview these witnesses before presenting them in court.
